Feed your Infiniti VQ37HR engine what it wants! Cold air intakes route the intake plumbing away from the hot engine bay areas, and deliver air through a free-flowing air filter and improved intake tubing. The result is cooler, denser air that is delivered in greater quantities at higher velocities to your throttle body and manifold. Denser air, and more of it, is the path to achieving more power from your VQ. The open air design of most of the aftermarket intakes (i.e. no airbox) gives the Infiniti G37 engine a more powerful grunt. If you're interested in adding horsepower and torque to your car, as well as giving it a more aggressive engine sound, then adding a cold air intake should be your first step.
Most of the intakes listed on this page are compatible with the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 Sedan with a VQ35HR and the Infiniti G37. Performance of all the intakes are approximately equal, so pick the one that you think looks best and fits your budget.

These are the available short ram style intakes for the Infiniti G37. True short ram intakes are cold air intakes. They are intended to draw in cold air directly through an inlet duct or bumper cutout. However, most of these short ram style intakes are simply open filters exposed to the engine bay. Some may actually be detrimental to performance since they are sucking in hot air from near the engine. These intakes should be combined with ducting of some sort to get the most from your Infiniti G37.
